National Securities Market Association, Self-regulating Organization

On June 5, 2006 the Bank joined a self-regulating organization called the National Securities Market Association (NSMA).
This is a non-profit organization uniting professional stock market participants. On January 16, 1996 the founding conference of the National Association of the Participants of the Government Securities Market (later transformed into the National Securities Market Association), was held. Among the founders of the Association were the largest operators of the Russian securities market, the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation and the Bank of Russia. At present, the Association comprises 253 organizations (banks and investment companies), which are the professional participants of the securities market.

Federal Customs Service Bank Register

On September 1, 2010 BFA Bank was included in the Federal Customs Service (FCS) Bank Register, which meant that the Bank was entitled to issue bank guarantees for the payment of customs duties.
Incorporation of the Bank into the FCS Register enabled the Bank to expand its product line with a new in-demand product and increased the Bank’s rating when working with major corporate clients.

Association of the Banks of the North-West

On April 27, 2006 the Bank joined the Association of the Banks of the North-West (ABNW). Being a member of the Association, BFA Bank regularly participates in ANWB events, which address the burning issues of the banking community and inform the public about the state of the banking market.

The Association of North-West Banks incorporates the banks, non-banking lending agencies and other organizations, whose activities are related to the performance of the Russian Federation’s monetary system. The association was founded on December, 19, 1989 as the Association of Saint-Petersburg Commercial Banks (ACB). In July 2001, the ACB was transformed into the Association of North-West Banks. Currently, the Association unites 95 organizations and conducts its activities in the North-West of Russia, establishing business contacts with Russian and foreign governmental, public and commercial institutions, as well as with the citizens of Russia and foreign countries, and partaking in joint activities by cooperating with the international and regional banking associations.
